DEEP CUPPED FACE - New Ultra Hardened Beta-Titanium X2 with micro milling for maximum spring effect.
Having the ability to select very specialized Beta Titanium metals separate from the body is key to performance. This allows us to ultra-harden, micro mill and forge that piece of metal into a cupped shape, allowing us to create the maximum amount of surface space for maximum spring effect. This piece of metal has the single biggest performance effect in a driver. Being cupped faced allows us to weld the face onto the body without having any welds directly in the face of the driver. Also, the Formula 7X driver resists face flattening better than any driver made. Finding the exact thickness, milling and hardness is the magic. Make no mistake about it, this attention to detail creates pure speed and incredible spin control.
TOE AND HEAL LOUVERS PLACEMENT - New added louvers for increased stability both toe and heel.
Controlling body compression at impact is critical to hitting consistently and improving ball speeds. We at Krank Golf understand the need for body stability and body rigidity at impact. Adding louvers on the sole plate, both toe and heel, significantly decreases the compression of those areas on off center face shots. This produces greatly increased distance and accuracy, both when you hit it center face and when you hit off center shots.
RAISED CROWN AND SOLE PLATE - Reduced body expansion at impact. We know from 14 years of testing that maintaining body shape at impact stores the energy created at impact forward in the driver head. The quicker that energy releases back to the golf ball the better. Body expansion only dissipates that energy away from the golf ball. We engineer all our drivers with extremely rigid bodies to create Maximum Energy Transfer back to the golf ball. The Formula 7X takes body rigidity and energy storage to a whole new level. Storing and releasing that energy back to the ball quicker than any driver ever made.
